House of Que

House of Que Weehawken is a favorite local culinary destination for Port Imperial residents, and unlike Texas, this barbeque hot spot offers sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline.

You don’t have to travel all the way to Texas for Austin-style barbecue with hand-seasoned, slow-roasted meats and an array of in-house barbecue sauces. House of Que Weehawken is a favorite local culinary destination for Port Imperial residents, and unlike Texas, this barbeque hot spot offers sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline.

We’re confident that you’ll fall in love with House of Que, and here’s why!

Why You Should Check Out House of Que

Even with all the amazing New York and New Jersey restaurants in the vicinity, it can be hard to come by real, authentic Texas barbecue around here. House of Que stands out as the exception to the rule with down-home cuisine and a sought-after waterfront location you’ll adore. The House of Que Weehawken space features a 1,500-square-foot wrap-around patio to deliver these views and also retractable glass doors for an indoor/outdoor dining experience along the front of the restaurant.

Meet Texas Pitmaster Michael Rodriguez

Texas pitmaster Michael Rodriguez came up with the idea for House of Que, as well as his very own proprietary rub that he uses to smoke each tender, hand-seasoned piece of meat with hickory and oak. Each week, Rodriguez and his team serve up over 4,000 pounds of pulled pork, brisket, chicken, ribs, and sausage – all smoked in-house. Rodriguez has over 25 years of experience in the barbecue business, and it shows through his unique style of this beloved cuisine.

BBQ and Brunch Menus

House of Que offers a lunch and dinner menu every day, as well as a brunch menu for Saturday and Sundays. The menu of starters includes favorites like 48-Hour Smoked Wings and Frito Pie. Sandwiches, combo plates, smokehouse favorites, sides, and delectable deserts will tempt your taste buds for lunch and dinner. There’s even a kids’ menu for the little ones.

Brunch is served on weekends from 11am to 4pm and features handhelds, classics, and light fare. You’ll also want to check out House of Que’s happy hour on weekdays from 11am to 7pm with beers as low as $3, wines as low as $5, and half-priced daily cocktails.
