Hudson Restaurant Week 2019

Hudson Restaurant Week is a bi-annual celebration of Hudson County’s amazing food with prix-fixe discounted menu offerings. Through partnerships with local restaurants, the event has been going strong since 2005.

It’s no secret that Port Imperial and Hudson County are filled with top-notch restaurants that draw in discerning foodies from all over the Tri-State Area. No matter what you have a taste for, you’re sure to find it at the fine dining establishments, local cafes, and unique specialty restaurants in Weehawken, Hoboken, Jersey City, and beyond.

To highlight our diverse culinary scene, Hudson Restaurant Week is a bi-annual celebration of Hudson County’s amazing food with prix-fixe discounted menu offerings. Through partnerships with local restaurants, the event has been going strong since 2005. We couldn’t be more excited that Hudson Restaurant Week is returning this summer between July 22 and August 2 for its 15th year.

Joining in the fun of Hudson Restaurant Week is easy: browse the event’s website to choose a participating restaurant, make a reservation or simply walk in, and then enjoy a delicious (and discounted) prix-fix lunch or dinner. There are a lot of incredible restaurants to choose from, so to help you make your choice, you can browse filtered categories of eateries based on parking, BYOB, skyline views, vegetarian offerings, and gluten-free options. Each year, Hudson Restaurant Week adds more participating restaurants to its event for both weekday and weekend deals.

If you enjoyed a great meal and didn’t share it on social media, did it even happen? That’s a question we always ask ourselves during Hudson Restaurant Week, but there’s an even bigger incentive to tag your post and photos while dining at participating venues this summer. Use hashtag #HudsonRW or tag @HudsonRestWk on Twitter or Instagram and you might just get a free meal! Winners are selected at random to have the event organizers pick up the tab.

To tempt your taste buds and get you in the mood for Hudson Restaurant Week, here are some details about this summer’s participating restaurants in the Port Imperial community.

House of Que (Weehawken)

One of our all-time favorite local restaurants is House of Que, which is why we’re so excited that it is participating in Hudson Restaurant Week. Stop by the Weehawken location for lunch on weekdays between July 22 and August 2 for the best barbecue you’ve ever had for just $13.50.

The lunch special runs from noon to 3pm and includes one beverage. Select wine by the bottle is just $20. On the House of Que special event menu, you can choose between the BBQ combo plate with brisket, ribs, and sausage or the sandwich combo plate with pulled pork and chopped/sliced brisket. You’ll also love the sides here, which include mac ‘n’ cheese, corn pudding, potato salad, southern sweet potatoes, collard greens, and more Texas-style favorites.

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse (Weehawken)

You can’t go wrong with Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, especially during Hudson Restaurant Week. Stop by for lunch on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays for the $20 deal or any weekday for the $40 dinner deal. This classic American steakhouse is also featuring a special $18 wine pairing.

Dress in business casual attire for a special meal in the dining room or keep it casual in the bar lounge. Highlights of the event lunch menu include the 6-ounce petite filet, crab cakes, and vegetarian-friendly vegetable linguini. For dinner, you won’t want to miss out on the fresh ora king salmon, 12-ounce NY strip steak, and the delectable bread pudding or cheesecake for dessert.

Chart House

Another great pick for American food during Hudson Restaurant Week is Chart House, which is offering a $40 special dinner deal on weekdays between July 22 and August 2, as well as on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28. Make your reservation early for weekend dining!

After a gourmet salad and clam chowder for your starters, choose between sweet & spicy mahi, Thai island shrimp, cedar plank salmon, and savory grilled chicken for your entrée. We’re especially looking forward to the deserts here since the options are carrot cheesecake, espresso chocolate mousse cake, and raspberry sorbetini. A free parking lot and valet parking are available at Chart House.

For incredible Greek food with views to match, definitely make a plan to visit Molos during Hudson Restaurant Week. This highly recommended restaurant is offering a special $20 deal for weekday lunches and a special $38 deal for weekday dinners during the event timeframe.

The lunch entrée offerings include grilled lavraki (Mediterranean bass), fish and chips, Fettuccini a la Greca, and roasted organic chicken breast. For dinner, entrée options are lavraki, tsipoura (Ionian Sea Bream Fillet), seafood orzo (calamari, shrimp, scallop, and mussels), vegetable moussaka for your veggie option, and paidakia (lamp chops). For dessert, you’ll love celebrating this foodie-centric week with baklava, chocolate cake, or fig tartellete.
