Here’s our list of the best cocktail bars in Weehawken to definitely check out if you’re a Port Imperial resident, looking to become one, or just visiting.
If you’re looking for a neighborhood Cheers bar where everyone knows your name, then look no further than the Hudson Blue Bar & View. This awesome cocktail bar is located right inside Weehawken’s Port Imperial Ferry Terminal, so it doesn’t get much more convenient than that. It offers daily specials, weekly events, and sports packages to keep you entertained. The best days to come here for cocktail lovers are “Feel Good Fridays” because specialty cocktails are $10 all day long and there’s live entertainment onsite that changes each week. To go with your martinis, try a couple of the sushi bar appetizers or chef’s special creations.
Cooper Place is the place to be for a low-key vibe to go with your favorite cocktails. Come here to play a game of pool, play your favorite hits on the juke box, and wind down at the end of a long day. It’s a local pub filled with interesting characters and affordable prices. Cooper Place doesn’t serve food, but you’re welcome to bring in something from an outside restaurant. Stop in to relax and enjoy the legitimate pours at the full bar for your dive bar-style night out.
The newly opened NoHu Rooftop Bar + Restaurant is a local gem that serves an extensive cocktail menu and tapas. It sits at the top of the Envue Hotel and is a perfect stop after you step off the ferry. The cocktail menu here features creative and enticing flavors, such as lavender-infused vodka, reserve bourbon, coconut-oil-washed Campari, and matcha. There is also a great wine list for reds, whites, and sparkling varieties. You can’t beat the views of the NYC skyline from here, nor the phenomenal service.

Jack Austin’s is a local Weehawken restaurant that we can’t get enough of, but it’s also worth coming here just for the cocktails. One of the specialties here is the Frozen Watermelon Margarita, and the menu also features other margaritas, Moscow Mule, Daiquiri, Old Fashioned, White Russian, Mojito, and Aperol Spritz. Stop by between 4pm and 7pm for happy hour, and your frozen watermelon margarita will be just $5, and your other cocktails are just $8! Here in Weehawken, we’re also fortunate to have our own Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse that serves its famous signature cocktails in the lounge and offers amazing views of the river and NYC. This is a business-casual dining restaurant that’s perfect for after-work dinners, special occasions, and just treating yourself to something delicious. Some of our favorite cocktails here the Ginger Coconut Lemon Drop, Rosita Margarita, Dirty Goose Martini, and Blueberry Mojito. And after your steak or seafood dinner, don’t forget about the desert cocktails on the menu, such as the Chocolate Diablo Martini and the Port of Manhattan!
Other Nearby Cocktail Bars
Those are some of our favorite Weehawken spots for cocktails, but of course, there are so many more bars in the neighboring communities nearby to discover too. For example, we’re also big fans of the cocktails at the Stingray Loungem, House of Que, and Kolo Klub – both in Hoboken and just south of our Port Imperial properties.
Come enjoy a night out on the town with us while sipping your favorite spirits and soaking up these unbeatable views!
